Fear is a Stranger

The collective consciousness is filled with fear in these trying times. Have you been affected by it? How frequently do you find yourself filled with fear and uncertainty about your life, your business, your relationships, your finances?
Fear is the result of buying into illusion.
The Eastern mystics have a philosophy that is represented in the term “Lila” meaning “the grand play/drama of life”. It is all entertainment – do you think it is real?
Imagine Sylvester Stallone getting pummeled in the ring, after writing Rocky, and suddenly he starts to BELIEVE that he is going to lose. Just imagine. He starts to think it is real, that he is going to lose – even worse…maybe even die! How ludicrous – he can’t lose…he wrote the screenplay. Most likely during the entire movie he knew it was just a roll he was playing for everyone’s (including his own) entertainment. Nothing more than Lila. Is there a metaphor here? Yes…I think there is.

I have frequently heard individuals state, “I am trying to build a financial wall around myself and my family.” But why would you need a wall when there is no enemy? All things come from the same source. Would you truly hurt yourself? The same Spirit and Life Power runs through everything from rock to man.

In these times of potential chaos, the Warrior’s challenge is to operate from a higher awareness. The second law of Thermodynamics tells us that EVERY system destroys itself. But out of every “destruction” there births a new system, a new life. Chaos Theory tells us that in every apparently chaotic state there is actually a very finely orchestrated order. Do these principles apply to individual and collective life? You bet…Laws are laws. What applies on the macro applies on the micro.
Walking the Path of Power takes operating from a higher awareness than the mass majority. And believe me…I will never try to insinuate that it is easy – we all come here and forget we are playing a part in the grand play. But then again, if it were easy it would be boring. Think about it!
Do you like to compete in sports or games with someone that is a push-over? With a person that you know you will beat each and every time? Of course not…you would be bored! Do you go to movies and plays were everything is always perfect and rosy? I am beginning to yawn aren’t you?
You get juice out of the uncertainty, adventure, the close calls, the ones you have to work for. Don’t you?
Come on! Stand up tall and be grateful, be a champion! You’re at home – fear is the stranger here! This is your adventure, walk the Path of Power and let others buy into fear.
You just play with it…play full-out but know all along that it is just a passing fancy. All of it, from personal to world issues, from your debts to your job losses, from your relationship shifts to your greatest concern and victories. All an elaborate passing movie that is for your total challenge, and adventure. All for the juice.
Do this exercise:
Think for a moment about something that has been difficult in your life in the last 24 months….got it? OK, now first I want you to recognize that you didn’t die – you made it through or you wouldn’t be playing with me right now.
Second ask yourself these questions:
- What did I learn from this situation?
- What can I do next time in a similar situation?
- What did I experience or gain as a result?
- How has my life improved as a result?
- What was the greatest gift this situation or circumstance gave me?
Now there is one rule to this exercise – you must come up with empowering answers. Not, “What did I learn? I learned that he was a stupid jerk!!” Wrong! You are giving away your Power and allowing your life to be controlled by externals with this type of approach.
The last thought I will leave you with is this: if every painting was a Rembrandt how much value would paintings have? If every car was a Bentley what would cars be worth? If you never had a tapestry of experience in your life how boring would your life be?
Play with illusion but don’t buy in – walk the Path of Power and you will experience more adventure, excitement, and pure joy than most can ever imagine.
